Thinking outside the box with our new Washing Powder packaging

Thinking outside the box with our new Washing Powder packaging

There’s no point in shipping fresh air, and that’s why we’ve reduced the size of our 12.5kg Washing Powder packaging!

The smaller box still carries exactly the same amount as our previous design but uses 25% less packaging.

Here at Bio-D we’re always looking for ways to further reduce our impact on the planet. By reducing the size of the 100% recyclable cardboard packaging, we’re saving carbon emissions from both manufacturing and transportation.

Buying the 12.5kg box instead of our 1kg pack can also save you 11% in terms of cost. And it lasts through 212 washes!

Our fragrance free, non-biological Washing Powder is accredited by Allergy UK. This means the hypoallergenic, concentrated formula is highly effective whilst also gentle on even the most sensitive skin. It is made from 100% naturally derived ingredients and contains no harsh preservatives such as MIT, BIT or MI.

Heather Nixon, our Sustainability, NPD and Regulatory Manager, said: “We’re committed to continually improving our processes, products and packaging to minimise our environmental impact. We know our customers feel the same, so we’ve created new packaging with a whopping 25% less cardboard!

“The beautiful illustrations on the pack feature feathers and dandelions to represent the gentleness and delicacy found in nature. This perfectly fits our Allergy UK certified non-bio formula.”

We hope you love the new design as much as we do.

Cleaning hacks using Bio-D’s Washing Powder

  1. Did you know that our Washing Powder works wonders on cleaning oven shelves? Simply leave the shelves in warm water and a scoop of Washing Powder. Leave to soak, and scrub later.
  1. This also works on gas hob grates. Soak, before scrubbing off grease and grime.
  1. Mix our Washing Powder with a little water as a solution for cleaning your iron plate. Rub the paste on using a soft brush (when the iron is off and completely cool). Then leave for a few minutes and wipe down with water. Leave to dry before using the iron again.
