We had the pleasure of welcoming our nearest and dearest to join us in celebrating our King’s Award for Enterprise.
It was fantastic to be presented our award by Lord-Lieutenant of the East Riding of Yorkshire, Mr James Dick, OBE. And it was even better to be able to share the day with our customers, suppliers, colleagues, friends and family.
Celebrating the success of exciting and innovative UK businesses, recipients of a King’s Award ‘demonstrate outstanding success in their field’. One of our biggest achievements to date, we were one of just 29 businesses recognised in the sustainability category!
Our managing director Lloyd said: “Welcoming the Lord-Lieutenant to Bio-D was the perfect way to complete our King’s Award celebrations. Securing the award was a group effort, so to share the occasion with the whole team seemed fitting.”
We were one of 252 organisations to be recognised nationally as part of the 2024 awards. As part of the celebrations, Lloyd also had the pleasure of meeting The King at a royal reception at Windsor Castle.
Here are just some environment achievements that contributed to us securing our King’s Award:
We’d particularly like to thank our B Corp friends Cawston Press and local cake maker Caught Snakin for providing refreshments on the day!
