It’s estimated that Halloween costumes alone will create 2,000 tonnes of plastic waste this Halloween, according to nature charity The Fairyland Trust and environmental charity Hubbub.
But it’s not just oil-based plastic costumes that are taking their toll on the planet. Halloween decorations are also packed with unnecessary plastic that are easily avoidable.
