It’s clear that recycling plays a huge part in protecting our natural resources and securing the future of our planet, which is why here at Bio-D we do everything we can to make sure our customers can recycle as much as possible.
But how do we do this? We’ve listed just some ways in which Bio-D can help you do your bit for the environment.
We’ve made sure that all of our bottled packaging can be fully recycled – from our 20L refill containers to our 500ml hand washes. This was a key priority when deciding on which materials to use for our packaging, and something we plan to continue when creating new products in the future.
Just make sure to check with your local authority as to whether our products can be kerbside recycled or need to be taken to your local recycling centre.
As well as making sure our product packaging is 100% recyclable, most of the Bio-D range has various refill options for recycling and reusing. Consumers can choose from 5L and 20L refill containers to save both money and plastic-use! It also significantly saves on the number of visits to the shops needed. Alongside the 5L and 20L refills, we also produce triggerless spray refills to further save our production of plastic.
Whilst the 5L refills are great for smaller households, the 20L containers are perfect for those with a little more space to store them.
You may have noticed that our packaging has a slightly non-uniform shade depending on the product you pick up. This is because we create containers that are made from 100% recycled plastic bottles that may otherwise have ended up in landfill.
We’ve always used minimal, recyclable packaging, but this year we made the change to make sure our full range is included. This is above and beyond our original pledge as part of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Global Commitment – for which we set a target of 75% recycled packaging by 2025.
Though our refill range is available to buy from our website, we encourage customers to use refill stations in their local independent stores across the country to recycle and reuse their Bio-D bottles.
